Odd ad on the community board?
Hey everyone, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but has anyone else noticed those weird banners or mentions lately? I was looking for the rehearsal schedule for the upcoming season and stumbled upon some discussion about digital platforms.
I’m a bit confused — are we, as a group, starting to look into some kind of tech partnerships or is my browser just acting up? I've seen some names popping up that don't really fit the opera vibe at all. Just want to make sure the site hasn't been compromised or something.

I think I know what you mean, I saw something similar. My guess is it's just some weird algorithmic crossover because of the "entertainment" tag or whatever.
I actually clicked one out of curiosity last night while waiting for my daughter’s violin class to end. It was for play bet https://playbet.io/ which is definitely not an opera house lol. It looks like one of those newer crypto-based hubs for sports and slots. Pretty weird to see it linked near a classical music forum, though I have to admit, their UI is actually cleaner than our local ticket booking system (which is kind of sad).
I poked around their sportsbook for a minute just to see if it was legit—seems they use SoftSwiss for their games—but yeah, definitely feels out of place here. Probably just a weird ad targeting glitch. I wouldn't worry about the site being hacked, just ignore the noise.
